Jack Nicholson
Walter Brennan

Hello and welcome to my informational page on Who Won the Most Oscars During His Career. For men, actually, there is no one single winner. It's actually a tie, between Jack Nicholoson and Walter Brennan. Each of them won three Oscars. Nicholoson won two for Best Actor and one for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Walter Brennan won all three Oscars for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. The ironic part about this is that the all-time record for winning Oscars is not held by a man.

Katharine Hepburn

Women #1 In This Field

Most fields are still dominated by men, even in this day and age. However, in this particular field of Oscar-winning, the all-time record holder for Oscars is female. This distinctive honor goes to none other than Katharine Hepburn, who won four Oscars throughout her long career. In fact, in 1999 the American Film Institute ranked Ms. Hepburn as the greatest female start EVER in American cinema. She passed away in 2003.
