You may be shy by nature, unwilling to let the world (or even your boss) know about your accomplishments. Such a section can really stand out and can help to showcase your unique talents and skills. Do not feel awkward or self-conscious about listing your accomplishments. You might also consider sending a notice of your promotion to your alumni magazine or newspaper. Alumni publications can offer tremendous networking opportunities. A fellow alum may see the notice and may offer you a job interview as a result.

Make sure your employer knows about your achievements

It's important that your boss knows about the things you've accomplished in your position. Believe it or not, your manager might not realize just how much you've achieved. By sending him or her a quick e-mail or writing a note about a recent accomplishment, you'll be keeping him or her up to date about your progress. Such updates could come in handy when it comes time to evaluate your job performance.
