Anaheim Ducks Career Goal Scoring Leaders

65

Teemu Selanne

Paul Kariya

The Anaheim Ducks entered the NHL as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in 1994, and became just ?Ducks? in 2006.? That seemed to affect their play, because that 2006-07 season, the Ducks won the Stanley Cup.? And while this franchise is still considered very young as I write this in 2009, they have been remarkably competitive in a short time.? Here is a list of the Ducks? all-time leading goal scorers to date:

Teemu Selanne (362)?Finnish born center Teemu Selanne has had two stints with the Ducks, from 1995 to 2001, and again from 2005 until now as I write this in 2009.? Selanne ranks first in Ducks? history with 362 goals scored and counting, and while he had his career best 76 goals while with the Winnipeg Jets, he has had five seasons in Anaheim with 40 or more goals.? Selanne?s career best with Anaheim was 52 goals in 1997-98, but his best overall season for the Ducks was 1996-97, when he scored 51 goals, and added 58 assists for 109 total points.

Paul Kariya (300)?Left wing Paul Kariya began his career in Anaheim and played there from 1994 to 2003.? Kariya ranks second in franchise history with 300 goals, and he scored 30 or more for them six times.? Kariya?s best season was 1995-96, when he had a career high 50 goals, and added 58 assists for 108 total points (also career best).?

Steve Rucchin (153)?Center Steve Rucchin played most of his career for the Ducks, from 1994 to 2004, and he ranks third in team history with 153 goals.? Rucchin never had more than 23 goals in a season, but he was a consistent player, usually hovering around the 20-goal mark.? His best season was 1998-99, when he scored the 23 goals and added 39 assists for 62 total points.?

Corey Perry (104)?Right wing Corey Perry has only been in the NHL since 2005, all with the Ducks, and he already has racked up 104 goals, ranking Perry fourth in Ducks? history.? His best season so far was 2008-09, when Perry had career highs in goals (32), assists (40) and total points (72), though he is already on pace to top those numbers in 2009-10.?

Andy McDonald (92)?Center Andy McDonald played for the Ducks from 2000 to 2008, and he ranks fifth in franchise history with 92 goals scored.? McDonald had his best season in 2005-06, with career highs in goals (34), assists (51) and total points (85).?
